After breakfast, head to Mengle Dafo Temple (excluding electric scooter 40 yuan/person). The Dafo Temple is located in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and was restored and rebuilt on the original site of the ancient Dai Dynasty's royal temple "Jingpiao Buddha Temple". The "Jing Piao Buddhist Temple" was first built in the Ming Dynasty and is one of the iconic buildings symbolizing the Twelve Banners of Theravada Buddhism. It was destroyed during a war in the year 2883 (1848) of the Buddhist calendar and was rebuilt in 2005. The site covers an area of approximately 266,700 square meters, with a building area of 36,000 square meters. It is built against the mountains, with a height difference of 122.8 meters, resembling a sitting Buddha. The architectural complex primarily features temple buildings and Buddha statues from Southeast Asian countries, integrating the Dai architectural style, such as heavy eaves and multi-sloping roofs, with the roof slopes made up of three stacked layers. After the tour of Xishuangbanna, take the high-speed train back to Kunming, where a special vehicle will pick you up to your hotel for rest!
